Art Teachers or DART is a consortium
of Digital Media Educators. It is the goal of this group to
raise the standard of education in this discipline through
collaboration. What better source for new information on what
works well with students than the inovative teachers who work
with them every day?
It
is the goal of this section of the web site to evolve into
a resource center for educators with information on DART meetings,
commercial art industry standards, and an area to post lessons
and share ideas - possibly in a forum format. This fall I
will round up information to share here. Check back

Curriculum
Revitaliztion Project
I
am currently working with four CPS Visual Communications teachers
to develop a three year Digital Media program
for 18 Chicago Public Schools to state Career and Technical
Education standards. It includes common assessments, differentiated
instruction, and interdisciplinary curricula, writing for
communications industry, soft skills, team projects, problem
solving and critical thinking. Results of this collaboration
will be posted here.
